It’s explained in the article. It’s a double switch at the core, but you can also control a large variety of Aqara devices from it, almost all of which are HomeKit compatible (via an Aqara hub). Devices that can be controlled via the dial would include dimmable lighting, curtains or blinds, or AC controls.
